Delete your DamnGoal account

DamnGoal is operated by DyvenTech LLP. This page explains how to request deletion of your DamnGoal account and what happens to your data afterwards.

How to request deletion

Option 1 — In the app (fastest)

Open DamnGoal.
Go to Profile.
Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
Type delete to confirm.
We email a 6-digit confirmation code to the address registered on your account. Enter it.
Your account is deleted immediately once the code is accepted.

We require the emailed code because deletion cannot be undone. Being signed in is not enough — the code proves you still control the account’s inbox.

Option 2 — By email

If you cannot access the app, email appsupport@dyven.tech from the email address registered on your DamnGoal account, with the subject Delete my account.

We will verify that the request came from the account owner and complete the deletion within 30 days. We will email you when it is done.

If you sign in with Google or Apple and are unsure which address your account uses, tell us in the email and we will help you identify it.

What is deleted

Data	What happens
Your email address	Permanently removed.
Your username	Permanently removed. It no longer appears anywhere in the app.
Google and Apple sign-in identities	Permanently removed. Google or Apple can no longer be used to reach the account.
Goals, habits, tasks, completions, focus sessions, journal entries, energy check-ins, and Companion chat history	Permanently removed.
Active sessions and refresh tokens	Revoked immediately on every device.
One-time passcode records	Deleted.
Public Witness content	Withdrawn from the Witness feed immediately and then permanently removed. Your username no longer appears to other users.
Data stored on your device	The app clears your local copy and onboarding state from the device you delete from.

After deletion, signing up again with the same email address creates a genuinely new, empty account. The old account cannot be restored, and no data from it is carried over.

What is kept

Subscription and purchase records	Kept as required by tax, accounting, and consumer-protection law.	As required by law.
Authentication and security logs	Kept to investigate abuse and protect the Service.	30 days.
Analytics and attribution records held by our providers (PostHog, Tenjin)	Deletion instructions are sent to these providers.	PostHog: 30 days. Tenjin: 6 months.
Support emails	Kept if needed to handle a dispute or meet a legal obligation.	Up to 24 months after the request closes.

Important: cancel your subscription separately

Deleting your DamnGoal account does not cancel a paid subscription. Subscriptions are billed by Google Play or the Apple App Store, not by us.

Cancel before you delete your account:

Google Play: Play Store → profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → DamnGoal → Cancel subscription
Apple App Store: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → DamnGoal → Cancel Subscription
